Our Story

Kiwanis started back in 1915 in Detroit, built on a simple idea: business folks trading favors and know-how. By 1920 that had grown into something bigger — "We Build" — and the focus shifted to community. In 2005, we sharpened that focus even further: serving the children of the world.

Here in Bartlesville, that's meant nearly a century of showing up — Freedom Fest, the Christmas Parade, the Kids Fishing Derby, and every summer weekend at Sooner Junior, our mini-golf course that helps fund the scholarships we hand out each spring. We know we can't do it alone, so we lean on and support the other great nonprofits doing good work around town too.

Same mission since 1915, just a lot more fun along the way.
