Meet the President

Kelsey Thomas

Hello, I’m Kelsey, the current president of the Kiwanis Club of Bartlesville. I was born and raised in Bartlesville and after leaving to attend school at OU (Boomer Sooner!), I returned home and completed my degree in Psychology at OKWU. Since graduating college, I’ve dedicated my life and career to helping children and their families. I’m also the mom of a wonderful and wild 2 year-old and he has just reaffirmed that the work I do, both professional and volunteer wise, is so important.  I found Kiwanis by way of another co-worker, and I was initially a reluctant member. Once I realized that the values of Kiwanis aligned so closely with my personal values, I knew it was the place for me. “Serving the children of the world” is the Kiwanis motto. In Kiwanis, I have found a place to continue my purpose of supporting children and even better, I’ve found a group of fun people who also serve that purpose. We have the fun things like Freedom Fest, the Christmas parade, the Fishing Derby, and Sooner Jr, but we also provide numerous scholarships to kids throughout Washington County, and we provide grants and supports to other local non-profit organizations that also support children. I couldn’t ask to be a part of a better organization that supports children in our wonderful community. If you are looking for a place to serve your community, support our smallest citizens, and have a ton of fun, please join us!
